My kids love Italian food! This Spaghetti Meat Sauce recipe is a family favourite. I’ve tried many recipes but keep going back to this one. I use minced chicken instead of minced beef. 


1/2 cup hot water

2 cubes beef bouillon

2 cubes chicken bouillon

1/2 pound ground lean beef or chicken

2 cups tomato sauce

2 tbsp. tomato paste

1 tbsp. cane sugar

1/2 tsp. oregano

1/2 tsp. chilli powder

1/2 tsp,sea salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1 pound spaghetti


Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water and set aside. In a large skillet sauté onion and beef. Drain fat. Lower heat and add bouillon mix into beef. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste and stir. Then add sugar, oregano, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly cover and raise heat to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 30 – 45 minutes. Serve over spaghetti.
