It’s always nice when you can pull up a recipe and have wonderful memories to go along with it. This cheese biscuit recipe was from an old dear friend of mine. It’s delicious and great to bring for your next brunch.

2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

4 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup butter

2/3 cup milk or orange juice

1/3 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add small pieces of  butter cold from the fridge into the flour mixture. Use pastry blender. Add cheese and milk and blend with a fork. Form the dough into a ball. Knead the dough and roll out 1/4 inch and cut into various shapes with cookie cutter. Bake at 400 degrees on parchment for 12 – 15 minutes.
